If you want to be really good at something – how would you go about it? One of the fastest ways to learn how to do something well is to copy someone who is ALREADY doing it well - modelling. Find someone who does what you admire and figure out how they do it. This will save you a lot of time. And if you pick more than one person to model – you will learn more than one effective way to achieve what you want.

Bandler and Grinder started paying attention to exceptional people with different styles who were all wizards at communicating and bringing about rapid change in people. They modelled Virginia Satir, a therapist who got fantastic results working with families. Fritz Perls, founder of Gestalt therapy, Gregory Bateson an anthropologist and - my personal favourite – Milton Erickson - a hypnotherapist. It was Erickson's work that formed the foundation for a lot of NLP, thus the close connection with hypnosis. Milton could bring about incredible healing in his clients simply by telling them metaphorical stories and following their reactions.

NLP explores the relationships between how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotion (our programmes).

NLP is a toolbox of techniques that brings about incredible change in people. “We call ourselves modelers. What we essentially do is to pay very little attention to what people say they do and a great deal of attention to what they do.” (Richard Bandler, John Grinder; Frogs into Princes)

Hypnospa treatments utilise NLP all throughout – from the interview stage through to your time in hypnosis. Every moment in your session is used to its fullest capacity to bring about positive change in you -the client. This occurs by paying attention to everything you say and more importantly DO – so that YOU can see yourself as you really are – and decide what changes need to occur – to become the best, most beautiful person – you can possibly be.
